Do motherhood and art go together? Is there any room in the life of a home-schooling, bread-baking, business- owning mom, to be an artist? No. But that's not going to stop me.

My latest pottery project for my friend, Patty. She wanted this verse illustrated on clay and she wanted a pitcher in the act of pouring. I immediately could see this in my mind. This is still in the greenware stage and drying. Email me I'd you want directions on how to build this, although you can probably figure it out by looking at it. I did use two different clays: red stone and dessert buff from High Water.
First and Foremost, I am a Christian. There are days when I sure don't live up to the name. I am also privileged to be married to my best friend and first love, Chris. We have four children, or should I say, 1 adult, 2 younger adults, and Ethan, who is still a child. We own and operate the best art store in North Carolina, Art &Materials and Ballantyne Framing. I make and sell pottery, teach pottery classes, merchandise the windows and design displays.Oh, I also help with other miscellaneous stuff like writing the monthly newsletter, art birthday parties, publicity and advertising and...I think that's it.
