My new old Brent CXC sounds awful. When Chris heard it he took it apart and found various and sundry items inside the dust cover and motor. There were dead insects, dried clay, some wasps nests and a lot of dirt. He took the motor into a shop for new bearings. Chris used to work on motors back in the day. As he explained brushes and bearings to me, I marveled again at how God uses everything in our lives. I thank the Lord that Chris is such a great handy-man and can fix all sorts of stuff.
My used Brent Wheel should be as good as new soon. Right now, we are busy in the store (Bear Hands Pottery) making bowls for New Bern's first empty-bowls fundraiser. Our goal is 100 bowls. About 70 or so are waiting to be bisqued or glazed at this point. I'm going to sit down this weekend and throw a few more. I've recently learned to throw bowls "off the hump." It sure is fast!
